Guardians of Guitar has been given an exclusive 24-hour premiere of The Zepparella Learning Channel. [See below for the videos!]

Conceived, produced, and directed by the powerhouse, all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band, Zepparella, the new Learning Channel offers a groundbreaking series of YouTube instructional videos that decode the music of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham.

“The Learning Channel is an opportunity to give back a little of what this band has given to each of us,” says drummer Clementine.

Since 2005, Zepparella has performed far more than 1,000 concerts, as well as logged millions of YouTube views of their live shows. Few musicians know the music of Led Zeppelin as intimately and comprehensively, which means visitors to The Zepparella Learning Channel will be treated to thrilling deep dives into the artistic magic of the legendary classic-rock band.

In addition—and for the first time anywhere—each member of Zepparella will offer personal seminars: Clementine presents tutorials on Bonham’s drumming, Gretchen Menn covers Page’s guitarcraft, bassist Holly West dissects Jones’ bass lines, and Anna Kristina offers coaching on Plant’s singing and harmonica playing.

“Last month marked the 50-year anniversary of the release of Led Zeppelin’s debut album,” says Menn. “What a first proclamation from a band! It would be difficult to overstate their influence, and it endures today. I am always uncovering new treasures and ideas in my study of Jimmy Page that I can apply in my original music. We learn language imitatively, and our heroes inform our vocabulary. It’s a joy to learn and grow as musicians through absorbing the language of some of our greatest heroes. We realize we are on holy ground, and we aim to be there with the spirit of disciples.”

The exclusive Guardians of Guitar debut today features an introduction of The Zepparella Learning Channel by all four members as a group, as well as four individual videos detailing the lessons to come.

On Tuesday, February 12, the first official lessons will drop with four incisive tutorials on “When the Levee Breaks” from Led Zeppelin IV (1971).

Welcome to The Zepparella Learning Channel

Clementine on Drums

“Playing in Zepparella has taught me so much as a musician, and sharing what I’ve learned continues the adventure.”

Gretchen Menn on Guitar

“Teaching it is a wonderful opportunity for growth. It solidifies concepts in my mind in a way only teaching can. And because Zepparella is doing all of the filming, audio, and editing, I get much greater perspective and insight from hearing my band mates talk about how they approach their respective parts. It’s making us closer as a band.”

Anna Kristina on Vocals & Harmonica

Led Zeppelin’s music moves me to my core. For me, it’s all about the feeling. Taking on the immense range and dynamics of Plant’s vocals and getting deeper into the intricacies of the music is a never-ending journey that keeps me in a place of challenge and discovery. To have the opportunity to perform Zeppelin’s music and celebrate their legacy with so many who love the music is simply sublime. The Zepparella Learning Channel takes it all a step further by allowing us to share our experiences and our individual processes with all who want to take their love of Zeppelin to the next level.”

Holly West on Bass

“With The Zepparella Learning Channel I aim to bring more to the table than just play-through videos. I want to share what I am discovering about the melody and subtlety of John Paul Jones’ playing. The deeper I go, the deeper my connection with the music, and the more I learn and grow in the process.”
